Anyways growing up I always went to the video store all the time really several times a week Id get overloaded with movies...
in my town I had 2 places to rent from but I liked one better than the other one was at the grocery store and the other on main street
When I was tiny I rented Tiny Toons go on Vacation and Pippi Longstocking and Carebears and Maxies World and Babes World
When I got older bumped into the horror section which was like the holy grail of movies Horror VHS galore Mothers day Halloween Slumber Party Massacre Frankenhooker all kinds everywhere you looked..this was in High school and most places had quit carrying VHS I think I was one of the last people to rent them from the store Id rent about 8 movies or so and stay up all night and as soon as I had finished them Id go and get another 8...
When I got married I had to start renting elsewhere because I lived in a new town I rented from Crown Video it wasn't very good most of the movies never worked and the owner was a complete bitch always saying I checked out things that I had never heard of...eventually though it closed down and I had to start renting elsewhere again..now that's shut down and so fourth
We now only have one video store in my town its called Family Video and it has the worst selection of movies ever Sharknado and Sharktopus but no classics or good horror movies they have a ton of sequels but not the first movie does that make sense? I don't think so they have Home alone 3 but not 1 and 2 ..its a damn mess and every time I go back I vow not to again..but where else will I rent Im so used to it..I have rented movies all my life..and now that part of life is coming to an end -people like Netflix and redbox more
I will say one good thing about Family Video they carry Van Holtens Spicy Pickles that Im addicted to and that's the only place in town to buy them.
This is me every time I stumble into Family Video Hoping to find a good classic or a horror movie but the only thing I find is Sharknado,Sharktopus, Nuns with Big guns ect ect
