This is a light one its not scary and its more of a lame teen horror movie ..but I like it
Urban Legend came out in 1998 and im sure by its name you can tell uses Urban legends for its plot
im a sucker for Urban Legends I just cant get enough of them..thats why I like Black Christmas,When a stranger calls,and Scary Stories to tell in the dark.
I remember the first time I watched this movie it was in high school and I was staying the night with this girl we rented a ton of horror movies and bought more junk food than we could handle and cooked some really nasty rice crispy treats..those were the days..I miss them.
The movie stars Jared Leto,Brad Dourif ( Chucky ),Joshua Jackson ( Crappy teen actor ),Tara Reid (Druken whore or American Pie ) ,Danielle Harris,Alicia Witt,Robert Englund ( Freddy ) ,Rebecca Gayheart ( Jawbreaker,Scream 2,From Dusk till dawn 3 )
The movie starts off with the killer in the backseat urban legend ( everyones heard of that one )
and ends with the kidney heist. ( I really just didn't feel like typing all the different urban legends used )
The killer in this movie is using urban legends and using them to kill his or her victims
For some really odd reason they reference the movie Coffy I don't get it ..Ill never get it..Coffy is one of my favorite movies but I don't understand why its mentioned in this teen horror flick
its also a running gag in the next 2 movies..but don't bother with the next 2 because they really suck.
My cat Sophie actually really likes this movie he well watch this whole movie and then meow for me to restart it ..when I put in the second movie he hated it and learned a sad lesson about sequels never being as good as the original.

imdb rates this movie 5.2 but rates scream 7.2
I don't get it..
This movie is far from being a first class horror movie but as far a teen horror movie goes I think its pretty good.
